On Monday, country stars gathered for the ACM's Salute to the Troops event in Vegas, but one country star had the tables turned when he was surprised with great honor. Toby Keith has played 200 shows and entertained more than 250,000 soldiers during his frequent USO tours and so on Monday he was presented with the Spirit of the USO Award. The award was a total surprise for Toby, who thought he was at the show just to perform for the troops he loves so much. "That caught me off guard," the singer said. "I saw a need and a void the great Bob Hope left behind, and no one was filling it, but as hard as Big Dog Daddy tried, I couldn't bring Marilyn Monroe." Fans can watch the "ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops" special when it airs on television at 8 p.m. May 20 on CBS.
