In case you haven't heard, the future is here ... and it's in 3D!

Home Depot is the first major retailer to take on the 3D printer market by showcasing the hi-tech gadget at six of its nationwide stores.

They range in price from $800 to $2900 and seem pretty user-friendly. You just upload a design to the printer and watch it slowly spit out your product (made with a cornstarch-based filament).

As cool as this is and as many printers as we hope Home Depot sells, we can't help but giggle a little knowing how archaic this is going to look in a few years. But you gotta start somewhere! (LA Times)
