Kenny Rogers is reuniting with an old friend for his new single. The country veteran teams up with Dolly Parton on his latest release, "You Can't Make Old Friends."
Rogers calls "You Can't Make Old Friends" a "special song," and adds that it was "a thrill" to collaborate with Parton again. He explains that "working with Dolly is always a little like going home. Everything felt comfortable."
"You Can't Make Old Friends" is also the title track to Kenny's next album. The singer says his upcoming release "may be the best album" he's "ever recorded." He explains that the project features a "musical diversity" that's "extraordinary," going from songs he "would normally sing" to songs he "would normally never even listen to."
Kenny also says the album features the "best songs" he's "ever had access to." The eleven-track set spans a variety of styles, including rock, gospel, soul, zydeco, and Southwestern-flavored sounds.
Rogers' album You Can't Make Old Friends will be in stores October 8th. Kenny and Dolly's duet is available now from iTunes.
