Garth Brooks is helping CBS to a ratings win.
"The Hollywood Reporter" says the country star's concert special, "Live From Las Vegas," was the top draw on Friday night, even without much of a lead-in.
Viewership was down compared to last year for the holiday specials that opened the night - Hoops & Yoyo Ruin Christmas and The Elf on the Shelf - but CBS still won with 6.7 million viewers tuning in during primetime.
On ABC, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Shrek the Halls also saw a drop in viewers, and along with "20/20" attracted five-point-one-million viewers Friday night.
NBC fared slightly better, with a primetime audience of 5.2 million for "Dateline," "Grimm," and "Dracula."
Fox aired episodes of "Bones" and "Raising Hope" for 2.3 million viewers.
1.1 million tuned in to The CW for Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer and "Nikita."
